Terms of Service

The Service

KPI Compass is a subscription-based analytics governance platform that lets you define and certify KPIs, manage taxonomy, embed and organize BI dashboards, connect data sources, reconcile data against a source of truth, and use AI-assisted analytics features. We may update, add, or remove features over time.

Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old and use the Service for business purposes. Admins may invite and manage other members of a workspace subject to the applicable plan’s limits.

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

• Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through our payment processor, Stripe.
• Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.
• You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
• We may change plans and pricing prospectively, with notice for existing subscriptions.

Your data and connected services

You retain ownership of the data and content you upload or connect (“Customer Data”). You grant us a limited license to process Customer Data solely to provide and improve the Service for you. You represent that you have the rights and any necessary permissions to provide the Customer Data and to authorize us to access connected sources on your behalf. Your use of third-party services (such as Google Ads, databases, or BI tools) is also subject to those providers’ terms, and our access is read-only where described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: attempting to access data you are not authorized to access; reverse-engineering or disrupting the Service; uploading unlawful content; infringing others’ rights; or violating any applicable law or third-party terms (including the terms of connected data providers).

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content we provide (excluding Customer Data), is owned by us and our licensors and is protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service except the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any analysis or output is accurate or suitable for a particular decision.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your Customer Data, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive will survive.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
