Distinguish 'time to fill' (req open โ accept) from 'time to hire' (application โ accept) โ these are frequently confused and use different denominators.
- Confirm requisition-opened timestamps are logged consistently and not backdated
- Exclude reqs that were cancelled/put on hold from the active average
- Conflating time-to-fill with time-to-hire, producing numbers that aren't comparable to external benchmarks
- Excluding hard-to-fill executive searches from the aggregate, making the overall number look better than typical candidate experience
